| JobDesc | Preparation of tenders in accordance with Business Management System (BMS) Assist in the pursuit of future business in accordance with BMS Monitor workload of allocated tender team within agreed budget(s) on a case-by-case basis Prepare accurate and economic costing of tenders and assessment of risk Assist in the preparation of Competition and Market Trend analysis with relevant Client Account Manager Negotiate terms and conditions of tenders with Customers and Suppliers to achieve the best commercial position with minimum exposure to risk Assist in the improvement of working practices of the department Provide guidance to junior members of the tendering team on a case-by-case basis Receive functional guidance, direction and advice from Proposals / Commercial Manager Provide business planning and reporting assistance to Proposals / Commercial Manager Individual participation in the Performance Appraisal process Other duties as directed by Proposals Manager from time to time Presentation Personal Presentation: Presents self in a professional manner appropriate to the role Communication Presentation: Articulates views in comprehensive and concise manner Work Presentation: Produces work of presentable quality and accuracy Skills Interpersonal: Excellent client facing abilities Technical: High level of commercial and contractual skills, in particular negotiation of contracts Self Management: Good organisational skills and smart working methods Qualifications and Education General Education: Degree qualified (ideally in Quantity Surveying, Business Management, Marketing, Law & Management) or similar Specified Qualifications for position: Consideration will be given to extensive work experience with HNC/HND qualifications in associated background. Continuing Professional Development: Can articulate learning and training experiences Experience General Experience: Oil & Gas subsea sector experience preferred. Relevant previous experience in similar environment Technical Experience: Fully conversant with MS Office Applications. Demonstrable technical experience in a similar role Self Managerial Experience: Ability to prioritise own workload personally and for others Specific Job Related Requirements Personal disposition: Team Player with strong leadership qualities Physical Capabilities: N/A Location Mobility: Based in Westhill, must be prepared for occasional and sometimes extended business travel Health and Fitness Standards: Must be physically fit for required position subject to reasonable adjustments |
