| JobDesc | The main purpose of the position is to provide support to the Company Uk Ltd Customs Department and to assist in the implementation and control of Customs Compliance for all Company Uk facilities. The Customs Co-ordinator is primarily focused on movements of goods including imports/ exports/ local and domestic shipments. The role is measured by the accurate fulfilment of the job specific processes. To provide support to the Company Uk Ltd Customs Department To act as a focal point with Freight Agents for queries/ issues and customs documentation To ensure that all Customs Department needs are identified at the earliest possible stage and report findings to Senior Customs Co-ordinator Ensure that all Diversion to Home Use Requests from facilities are processed and presented to Senior Customs Co-ordinator for submission to HMRC Liase with Branch Plants to ensure that Monthly Statutory Reporting Requirements with HMRC are adhered to Organise Internal Customs Training events. Ensure that data is entered into JD Edwards in respect of HMRC requirements in a timely manner To ensure a unified filing system is maintained and that all registers are kept up to date. To assist with the preparation of Customs Audits. To provide general guidance, assistance and advice to Company Uk Ltd facilities with regards to Customs issues Maintain a professional demeanour and attitude Undertake any required training to a satisfactory level of achievement. Delegate for Senior Customs Co-ordinator as required Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these (Working environment, international travel, driving licence requirement, client entertaining etc.) Clean driving licence required Must possess a good level of general education of at least Higher level in Mathematics and English Goods keyboard and computer skills Flexibility to suit operational requirements. Prior working experience of HMRC Procedures and Regulations The abilility to work in a team environment as well as an ability to work unsupervised The initiative to resolve and advise on customs related issues Experience within an electronic stock system A basic knowledge of various The Company Product Lines Must be computer literate with a good working knowledge of an ERP system. Must have a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point. Must have excellent analytical and organizational skills Must have good communication skills both verbally and written The ability to work to tight deadliness, prioritizing workload to meet demands.
